New Master Angler Sponsor Wanted

A new sponsor for the Master Angler is sought.

We are looking for a high quality international company for sponsorship of the Master Angler Program - the world's premiere angling program.

The sponsor will benefit by having massive exposure through our campaigns with more than fifty million impressions being made in key high yield long haul markets in Texas, Florida and California, ties with the Canadian Tourism Commission world-wide, extreme visibility in the American Mid-West and they'll be part of our exciting new campaign across our major markets.

The sponsorship is worth more than $500,000 in media buys and is selling for $125,000 for the top position, four positions at $75,000 ($250,000 in equivalent media) and ten sponsorship positions at $50,000 each ($125,000 in equivalent media)

If you know of a firm that can out-think their competition, we're interested in hearing from them (and you)

Removal of the Five Fish Maximum from Master Angler

I suggested removing that ridiculous five fish rule that we had in the Master Angler. Now, every trophy fish caught makes the book. If you catch more than one and an astericks appears beside the anglers' name denoted as "caught more than one trophy sized fish this year"

Certificates will not be issued above the five for free. It will be $20 if an angler wants a certificate after the five have been issued.

Manitoba Hunting and Fishing Guide - release date moved up

To capture more sales, I suggested moving the publish date of the Master Angler book from January release to October / November. Any comments on this?
Please ensure that each of you have a link to travel manitoba; these back links are essential when google looks - the higher the rank, the more hits, the more hits the more enquiries and more money for your business.

Website discussion - optimizing for higher visits

Good Morning Lodges and Outfitters.

Today, we'll make your life better for business.

The web pages are the way of the future...your brochures cost too much money to be sent out randomly - save them for the real buyers - the web is free: but we got to get the Manitoba cluster higher in hit counts so you'll make more visits thus more enquiries and more bookings.

I've already started to help here: www.superiorimagecom.com/formtm.htm
this forwards all incoming leads to your lodge - and I'll attach each of your names so that you can receive the enquiries to respond to them.

I need everyone in the Province that is involved in hunting / fishing to create a very strong cluster that google will recognize as "amazing". When google recognizes us as amazing, it will assess us a ranking. The higher the ranking, the closer positioned we are to the front when you search google.

The top keywords that I found were as follows, feel free to post your own thoughts as well:

1. fishing
2. fish
3. fishing pictures
4. fishing equipment
5. fishing gear

1. hunting
2. play hunting games
3. deer hunting
4. hunting tips
5. moose hunting
6. duck hunting

OK, so - as a cluster, we want all the google traffic under these keywords around the world. It will get us more requests. We want every Manitoba outfitter and lodge to have massive volumes of hits and requests - here's how to do it:

step one: create a new page in the software of your choice (i use dream weaver software)
step two: title the page "fishing"
step three: find a photograph of someone catching a massive fish at your lodge, post it
step four: alt tag the photograph "fishing"
step five: enter keyword: "fishing"
step six: type in a story about fishing and say the word fishing in the story as many times as you can fit it in; BUT, it has to make sense - no simple repeats as you'll get disqualified from the search engines with that cheap trick
step seven: make a header and call it "Fishing"

Post this page onto your existing site - don't worry about positioning just yet. You may wish to enter links back to your existing site and name the links.

Everything on this page now should have the word fishing all through it.

Google the word: "dmoz" and go onto dmoz and post the url right into the spot where it says fishing: this may take you ten minutes to find it - but you'll guarantee yourself a quick visit by the google robot and a faster ranking for this new page.

Now, go through and make the other pages EXACTLY THE SAME WAY - when you are finished you should have 5 new fishing pages that google will come and rank within three months. Let me know when you are completed this task.

If you need help, I am here to answer questions. The idea of having the entire cluster linked may be good, if you can all agree. Better to throw your neighbour business than lose it to a different geographic area of the world, right?

Let me know and keep me in the loop.

HuntingandFishinginCanada

Welcome to Hunting and Fishing Canada, the blog for those seeking a better experience on their next fishing trip. My name is Kevin Palmer and I am the Outdoors Manager responsible for letting the world know about the recreational outdoor opportunities at one of the greatest geographic locations for trophy walleye, northern pike, lake trout and some of the best hunting found anywhere.

Another main purpose of this blog is to gain the opinions of top Anglers and Hunters on our plans BEFORE we decide on one specific direction over another...so your opinions will actually drive some of the strategy going forward.

As with other blogs, let's keep it clean - professional & helpful: many tips and tricks that some find elementary are new to some else (me!!) so let's not laugh about stupid questions!

For those of you in the Province of Manitoba, my cellular line is 204.918 0821 and I am always available for your calls, questions and concerns. For those of you wishing a great fishing experience or an amazing EXTREME hunting Canada experience - go here and type in your request, our lodges and outfitters will be only to happy to shower you with suggestions for your next big adventure.
