Manitoba Hunting and Fishing Guide - release date moved up

To capture more sales, I suggested moving the publish date of the Master Angler book from January release to October / November. Any comments on this?

In regards to moving up the release date of the Master Angler Book - I don't think that it is a wise choice. Right now the cutoff for inclusion into the book is around the end of September - it gets released a few months after that. If we moved it up a few months, then those people who caught Master Anglers in Aug/Sept (when lots of lodges are still open) would have to wait over 12 months to see their name in the publication. This would dilute the value of having the publication at all.

No, the cut off would be end september - right now the cutoff is around october 15/30 and some into November, actually.

I'm suggesting setting a date and sticking to it.

By doing this, it does force people to get them in on time, allows out book to release quicker and gives us some sales hope in booking months.

A release in late October would be much better than the release in January from a sales point of view...

I think we still haven't released it - in fact, I know we haven't.
This year, it will release on January eight, nine or ten. We miss the first Minneapolis show and may make the Chicago show.

I think the book has to be out before the trade shows. Maybe not as early as Oct. But Dec. 1st would be nice???

Well the title say hunting and fishing guide.
Master anglers is irrelevent to the hunting guide, so i am all for an earlier release date of course.
As for fishing guide i would expect the same sales results would be increased if released sooner.
The dates that the guides become available are rediculously late. Most bookings are sold well before we even have a guide in our hands. Lots of interested travelers are asking for guides early in the year that's for sure and it would be a nice addition to the mail outs if we HAD them!
